I can prepare demonstrations, short courses or workshops for your group.

 

 

Based in Hampshire, I enjoy teaching both adults and children, individually and in groups.  Lesson are structured to cover technical watercolour painting skills, picture composition and creativity.  Frequent demonstrations, examples from art history, some finished picture making and many practical excercises are included.  Among favourite subjects are landscape, seascape and still life.  While most courses are held in hired spaces, some groups also work in private homes or outdoors on location here in the South of England.

Original Paintings Available for Sale

 

I paint in watercolour using a contemporary style, which celebrates the qualities of the medium. Many of my images feature landscapes, cityscapes and seascapes in and around the Hamble Valley and Southampton, Hampshire, England, where I have lived for most of my life. I also make interior, figure and still life paintings.

This summer, students and I will be painting at Portsmouth Docks, Southampton University, Manor Farm Country Park, Wickham Vineyard, Winchester Great Hall, Emsworth, Longparish, Bosham, Curbridge, Curdridge Reading Rooms, Warsash, Meon Valley Golf and Country Club, Hamble, Swanwick Shore, Swanwick Marina, Holly Hill Woodland Park, Woolston, Royal Victoria Country Park, Bishops Waltham Palace Ruin, Hill Head Sailing Club, Brambridge, Hambledon and at various locations both along Southampton Water and looking out across the Solent.
