What would you like to know about art classes with Kirstin White?
What do you do in art classes?
Expect lots of variety, inspiring lessons and plenty of support from your enthusiastic teacher.
Each half-term classes concentrate on a different aspect of watercolour painting and each person completes five of six pieces of work on the given theme. Class members take potluck as to each half-term’s theme. When planning the lessons I have in mind what I feel current class members will enjoy and benefit from. Students are often surprised to find that they love a subject that they had not expected to. Even though I often take students outside their comfort zone, astonishingly successful results are frequently achieved.
Your lesson references may be in the form of photographs, items that are in front of you, something from imagination or outdoor landscapes. We look at the work of famous artists, consider topical themes and respond to inspiration from the world around us.
