Painting in the Meadow (Video)

Painting in the Meadow. Pleasing work by class members at Kirstin White Watercolours. A half-term when we worked en plein air, out of doors as often as practical.

Each half-term classes concentrate on a different aspect of watercolour painting and each person completes five of six pieces of work on the given theme. Class members take potluck as to each half-term’s theme. When planning the lessons I have in mind what I feel current class members will enjoy and benefit from. Students are often surprised to find that they love a subject that they had not expected to. Even though I often take students outside their comfort zone, astonishingly successful results are frequently achieved. There are four classes per week to choose from, but if you are joining me for the first time, before paying for your lessons, please get in touch to check for current availability. Classes are transferable across the half-term. Should you miss one or more of the weekly classes at your regular time, during the same half-term, you are welcome to catch up in a class that meets at a different time.

Classes are not suitable for complete beginners. If you are new to watercolour, I suggest that you consider joining the six-week course that I run each September. This is usually from 1 pm - 3 pm on Wednesday afternoons and starts on the second week of Hampshire County Council’s school term. Drop me a message if interested in joining the waiting list for the September 2024 watercolour beginners course.
