Paint the River Itchen at Martyr Worthy in Watercolour - 3 day course

£132.00

August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd 2026

10 am - 3 pm daily

Martyr Worthy Village Hall, Church Lane, Martyr Worthy, Near Winchester, Hampshire, UK. SO21 1DY.

Come and paint the beautiful River Itchen, at Martyr Worthy with me, Kirstin White. This is a three day course over August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd 2026.

We will meet each day at 10am at Martyr Worthy Village Hall, and conclude at 3 pm. Some work will be done indoors and some outdoors. The kitchen and toilets in the hall will be accessible at all times during the day.

Expect to complete a variety of test exercises, sketches, and finished watercolour paintings over the three days. There will be examples, demonstrations and guidance; but also plenty of scope for you to do your own thing.

This course is suitable for experienced and less experienced watercolourists. Total beginners would enjoy the six week beginners watercolour course that runs every September. The next course starts on September 16th 2026. Whether you paint with me regularly, are a lapsed class member, or have not yet met me, come along and join in the fun.

Please bring your watercolour materials, painting equipment, and lunch with you. Tea, coffee, squash, and biscuits will be on tap! The hall has good big sturdy tables, and portable easels will be available for use during the course.

This summer course will to be relaxing, sociable and educational. Ideal for those unable to attend regular week day classes, as well as fun for regular class members. If you attend weekly classes and would would like to continue learning during the summer break, this is for you!
